A short test only shows the starting point
Pressure-sensitive adhesive can wet the surface more fully as time passes. Heat, pressure and storage can increase peel or change the way the adhesive releases.
A sample that removes cleanly after several minutes may behave differently after days or weeks on the final surface.
Build a dwell-time test matrix
Use the production film and the real protected surface. Compare an initial check with the expected dwell period and any relevant heat or humidity exposure.
Keep removal angle and speed consistent. Record adhesive transfer, ghost marks and surface damage as separate observations.
