Coat the actual printed PVC film and pair it with the intended release liner
PVC Decorative Film Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive
Self-adhesive PVC decorative film for building materials should be selected around the printed film, adhesive-side treatment, release liner, coating and drying process, target panel and aging condition.
Application requirements
What the adhesive route needs to handle
Common substrates
Common failure problems
- Edge lifting on textured or contaminated panels
- Film shrinkage after aging
- Poor liner release or adhesive transfer
- Bubbles or uneven appearance
- Different adhesion between panel surfaces
Selection logic
Start with the use case, then narrow the route by substrate, process window and failure mode.
Recommended product routes
- 917H for self-adhesive PVC building-material decorative film trials
- Review a separate PVC lamination route when the film is wet-laminated directly to board
Sample request checklist
- PVC decorative film sample and thickness
- Printing layer and adhesive-side treatment
- Release liner
- Target building panel and surface finish
- Coating equipment and drying window
- Indoor or outdoor use and aging test
Testing suggestions
Apply the finished film to each target panel surface, including edges and textured areas
Check release, peel, edge lift, shrinkage, bubbles and appearance after the agreed aging condition

FAQ
Is PVC decorative film PSA the same as PVC lamination adhesive?
No. A pressure-sensitive route makes a self-adhesive film with a release liner. A lamination adhesive bonds PVC film directly to another substrate during the laminating process.
Can one trial panel confirm every building-material surface?
No. Wood-based panels, coated metal, plastic and textured surfaces can behave differently, so each target surface should be included in the sample test.
