Choose the holding direction first
Start by defining whether the finished label must remove cleanly, hold more strongly for a limited period, or stay permanently bonded. That decision narrows the adhesive route before peel values are compared.
The target container surface also matters. Glass, HDPE, painted metal and textured plastic can give different wet-out and peel results with the same label construction.
Run the trial as a label construction
Coat the intended facestock and use the actual release liner. After drying, check die cutting, edge cleanliness, liner release and application to the final surface.
Record peel, lifting, bleed and appearance after the agreed dwell time. A quick hand test on an unrelated film is not enough for production approval.
